The Sleepy Eye chapter of Let’s Go Fishing honored volunteer Lenny Seidl during the group’s annual meeting recently. Seidl received the organization’s “You Made a Reel Difference” traveling trophy for going on a total of 32 runs on Sleepy Eye Lake in 2012. Volunteer Harry Windschitl was close behind Seidl with 29 runs. The Sleepy Eye Let’s Go Fishing pontoon makes 2 or 3 runs a day throughout the Let’s Go Fishing season, which ended September 14th. And out of a total of 23 Let’s Go Fishing Chapters in Minnesota, Sleepy Eye’s was fourth in total runs, with a total of 140 scheduled. Senior citizens from throughout Sleepy Eye, as well as community’s across the area participated.
