A Waseca woman spending time in jail for child abuse is scheduled to be in court on theft charges this week. 42-year-old DeAnna Racquel Musolf faces 3 counts of aiding and abetting theft by false representation for allegedly overbilling Medicaid by more than $18,000 by signing inaccurate timecards for her mother while she was caring for 3 of Musolf’s children. Musolf was sentenced to 6 months in jail and 2 years of probation earlier this year for the malicious punishment of her adopted children. In that case she confined the 2 children to dark, bare bedrooms for extended periods and denied them sufficient nourishment and clothing, as well as not allowing them into the bathroom for days. She has since lost custody of all of her adopted children. Now she’s scheduled to be in court on the Medicaid theft charges today (TUE).
