Jack Taylor of Division III Grinnel College in Iowa set the NCAA record for points scored in Tuesday’s 179-104 win over Faith Baptist. The sophomore guard from Black River Falls had a whopping 138 points. Taylor made 52-of-108 shots including 27-of-71 three-point attempts. Taylor said after the breaking the collegiate scoring record “I don’t think reality has really set in yet.” Faith Baptist’s David Larson scored 70 points in the loss. Taylor’s career-high in scoring was 48 points in a high school game.
