Golden Gopher sophomore Joe Coleman of Minneapolis was the team’s high scorer for the second consecutive exhibition game as Minnesota beat Southwest Baptist of Missouri 86-59 last night at Williams Arena. Coleman netted 15 points in last night’s victory, just a few days after posting 21 points in a Gopher exhibition win over Minnesota State-Mankato last week. Senior Rodney Williams of Minneapolis added 13 points and eight rebounds. The Golden Gophers will open the non-conference regular season on Friday by hosting American University.
