An 18-year-old Madison Lake man involved in a drive-by shooting in Mankato earlier this year has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for the crime. Alexander Marxen was accused of firing several shots towards a group of people last March near Mankato West High School. No one was injured in the incident. Marxen pleaded guilty to felony drive-by shooting and 2nd-degree assault, and 5 other charges, including two counts of attempted murder, were dismissed. He was sentenced to 36 months in prison on Tuesday and was immediately taken into custody.
