The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office is investigating break-ins at multiple bars around the county. Authorities say that the bar in Good Thunder and the Municipal Bar in Mapleton were both broken into overnight Wednesday or early Thursday, and that an alarm went off at a bar in Vernon Center, although it appears that no entry was gained in that incident. The investigation into what was taken from the bars continues, and authorities are reportedly following up on leads. Charitable gambling funds were the apparent target of the thieves. Anyone with information on any of these break-ins is asked to call their local law enforcement agency.
