Toronto’s Brandon Morrow struck out 11 batters through eight innings of one-run ball to lead the Blue Jays to a 2-1 win over the Twins last night in Toronto. Morrow allowed just three hits and three walks to improve to 10-and-7. Brandon Lyon closed it out to nail down his first save. Rajai Davis and Adeiny Hechavarria each drove in a run for Toronto, which swept the three-game series at the Rogers Centre to end the season at 73-and-89. Matt Carson plated Minnesota’s only run of the game on a fourth-frame fielder’s choice. Scott Diamond gave up both runs during five frames of duty to suffer the tough-luck loss for the Twins, who dropped five straight games to end in the American League Central Division cellar at 66-and-96.
