The search for a new superintendent for the Sibley East School District got underway recently with the Sibley East School Board and the South Central Services Cooperative finalizing the timeline for the search. Retired Sibley East Superintendent John Langenbrunner is serving as the district’s interim superintendent this school year after former superintendent Stephen Jones went to the Little Falls School District. The search process for a new superintendent will begin in mid-November with “Community Profile” meetings throughout the district. The position will then be posted on December 18th, with applications accepted through January 18th, at which time the candidates will be screened and a list of 6 finalists presented to the Sibley East School Board on January 28th. Interviews will then be held in early February, with the hope being to sign a contract with a new superintendent on February 19th.
