A collision between a semi and a pickup truck on Highway 60 in Cottonwood County Tuesday evening left soybeans spilled across the roadway. It happened at about 7:15pm about 2 miles west of Windom. The westbound semi-truck driven by 54-year-old Steven Schultz of Sioux Falls rear-ended the pickup driven by 61-year-old Beverly McCarvel of Brewster. The pickup was pulling a grain wagon loaded with beans at the time, and it disconnected from the truck following the collision and dumped it’s load on the highway. The semi came to rest in a field while the pickup ended up in the median. Both drivers were treated for their injuries at the Windom Hospital and have since been released.
