Safe & Sober Weekend 26 Oct 12

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is coordinating extra DWI patrols across the state this weekend as residents prepare to celebrate Halloween. There have been a total of 7 deaths and 24 serious, life-altering injuries during Halloween party weekends in Minnesota in the last five years. During that same time period over 2,300 people were arrested for DWI as well. State troopers, as well as county deputies and municipal police officers will be increasing their DWI enforcement presence this weekend, which also wraps up a statewide “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement campaign.
