The husband of a former Redwood Falls resident who was found guilty of murdering the woman in a jury trial this summer has been sentenced to a total of 112 years in prison for the crime. The body of 41-year-old Stephanie Roller-Bruner was found in the Blue River near her home in Colorado 3 days after her husband Dale Bruner reported her missing. Her cause of death was determined to be a combination of blunt force trauma, strangulation, hypothermia and drowning. Dale Bruner was found guilty of 3 counts in July. The prosecution argued that he killed his wife after she filed for divorce. There were also reports of his repeated infidelity and violence towards her. He was sentenced to 48 years for 2nd-degree murder, 32 years for 1st-degree assault, and another 32 years for 1st degree assault. The sentences will be served consecutively.
