Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier says running back Adrian Peterson has a mild ankle sprain. Peterson injured his ankle in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the Titans. He was able to play through the pain and finished with 17 carries for 88 yards. Frazier says Peterson should be fine going forward. The 4-and-1 Vikings play at 2-and-3 Washington this Sunday. Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan says starting quarterback Robert Griffin the Third will be monitored throughout the week to determine if he will be available for Sunday’s home game against the Minnesota Vikings at FedEx Field. RG3 suffered what Shanahan calls a minor concussion during yesterday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The coach says if there are “any setbacks at all, chances are good he will not play.”
