The flu season is officially here. The Minnesota Department of Health has recorded its first two cases of influenza for the season, although neither person had to be hospitalized.
The Department of Health’s Kris Ehressman says that now is the time to get a flu shot. Ehresmann says the flu vaccination is now recommended for everyone six months and older, unless they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. She says it is especially important for pregnant women, seniors, young children and those with chronic medical conditions to get a flu shot.
