Minnesota Pheasant Season 11 Oct 12

The start of Minnesota’s pheasant hunting season is this Saturday, and hunters should find more birds than last year. The DNR says pheasants are rebounding nicely, with the counts up by about 68% compared to last year. That is still quite a bit below the 10-year average for pheasant populations, however, because of harsh winters in 2009 and 2010. The best pheasant populations this year appear to be in southwestern and west-central Minnesota.
