Labor Talks Continue, No Progress 03 Oct 12

There is still no progress in NHL labor negotiations after the league and Players Association met for two hours on Tuesday. The two sides met for three straight days Friday, Saturday and Sunday before taking a break on Monday for internal discussions. The splitting of hockey-related revenue remains the key sticking point in reaching a new collective bargaining agreement. No new talks are scheduled. The owners locked out the players after the previous CBA expired September 15th. The entire preseason slate has already been canceled. The regular season is scheduled to begin October 11th.
