Henderson Police Chief Resigns 06 Oct 12

The City of Henderson’s Interim Police Chief recently submitted his resignation. Chief Pat Nienaber will be resigning from his post effective October 31st. Nienaber also serves as chief deputy for the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office, and told the Henderson City Council that commitments this Fall would prevent him from dedicating the time to the police chief position that Henderson deserves. He had signed a 1-year contract with the city this past January. He has suggested that Henderson Police officer Randy Haken be considered for the job. The Henderson City Council has said it will take the recommendation into consideration while conducting the search for a replacement for Nienaber.
