A former Glencoe businessman faces multiple felony charges in McLeod County Court over allegations that he swindled lenders out of over $333,000 in loans. 48-year-old Bryan Koepp was the owner of the Glencoe Garden Center when the crimes allegedly occurred over a 19-month period. He is accused of taking the hundreds of thousands of dollars from around 45 different victims, and telling them they would be repaid after he received a small business loan that he had never actually applied for. He’s been charged with 3 counts of theft by false representation and 3 counts of theft by swindle, and makes his first appearance in court today (FRI). Earlier this year Koepp and his wife, Joyce, were ordered to pay $20,000 over the next 2 years in a settlement agreement as well.
