Crash Kills Granite Falls Man 24 Oct 12

An 80-year-old Granite Falls man is dead after a head-on collision on Highway 212 Tuesday afternoon. It happened at around 1:20pm just west of Granite Falls. Roger Tjosvold was driving a Chrysler van eastbound on 212 when he turned directly into the path of a Chevy pickup truck driven by 70-year-old Anne Myhre of Granite Falls. Both were taken to the Granite Falls Hospital, where Tjosvold passed away at approximately 7pm Tuesday. The State Patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Myhre was wearing a seatbelt, and her injuries are said to be non life-threatening.
