Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera ends an amazing season by capturing the first Triple Crown in Major League Baseball in 45 years. Cabrera ended the regular season leading the American League with a .330 batting average, 44 home runs and 139 RBI. Cabrera becomes the second Tiger to win the Triple Crown after Ty Cobb earned the honor in 1909 and the first since Boston Red Sox Carl Yastrzemski [[ yah-STREM-skee ]] accomplished the feat in 1967.
