A 19-year-old Fairmont man facing arson charges for allegedly starting a fire at a Fairmont school now faces additional charges for allegedly making threats online. Timothy Jude Brickner was accused of setting curtains on fire in the gym of the Lincoln School in Fairmont on April 27th. The fire was contained to the stage area of the gym, but did prompt an evacuation. Brickner was a student at the Alternative Learning Center in the building at the time. He faces up to 20 years in prison for a felony arson charge, but now also faces terroristic threats and witness tampering charges for reportedly making threats on Facebook. In the online post, Brickner claimed that he did not start the fire and that the investigating officer was afraid of him. He then reportedly stated that if he was convicted of arson there would be a “Body Count” beyond imagination. Other comments had reportedly been made about the officer in previous posts as well. Brickner now faces an additional 5 years in prison on the new charges.
