A Vernon Center woman was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon in Mankato. 35-year-old Jeni Johnson was driving a 1997 Harley Davidson southbound on Highway 22 when she braked suddenly to avoid a collision with a Ford Focus turning off of Victory Drive and lost control before being ejected from the cycle. It happened at about 3:45pm Monday. Johnson was pronounced dead at the Mankato Mayo Hospital. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Ford Focus, 54-year-old Brenda Jaros of Mankato, and her passenger were uninjured.
