The Renville County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continue to investigate the death of a 56-year-old Cosmos man whose body was found in a cornfield last October, and a reward is now being offered for information on the case. The body of Robert Verdon was found in a field northeast of Hector in Brookfield Township on October 15th after authorities recovered a vehicle belonging to Verdon near the same field about a month prior to that. Verdon had been on supervised release from prison at the time after being incarcerated for arson and selling methamphetamine. A reward is available to anyone with information related to the circumstances surrounding Verdon’s disappearance and death. Information can be reported anonymously by calling Renville County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-720-3780.
