A 19-year-old Redwood Falls man faces felony charges for his alleged involvement in a break-in at a Redwood-area restaurant earlier this month. Jacob Hunter Abrahamson made an appearance in Redwood County Court on charges of 3rd-degree Burglary and Theft for the burglary of the Rusty Bucket Restaurant in North Redwood on September 14th. Someone broke into the restaurant and it’s office by apparently prying open doors, and stole money from a pull-tab box and multiple bottles of alcohol. The total value of the stolen items was more than $1,400, and the Rusty Bucket’s owner believed that it was an employee or former employee that committed the crime due to the location of various items not obvious to the general public. A search warrant was executed after someone reported seeing new television sets and bottles of liquor in an apartment on West Chestnut Street in Redwood Falls, and several former Rusty Bucket employees were arrested. More charges are expected in the case. Abrahamson faces up to 5 years in prison for the crime.
