Minnesota Vikings safety Mistral Raymond not not have a broken ankle. However, an x-ray on Monday revealed a severe bone bruise and what is believed to be a dislocation of Raymond’s right ankle. The second-year safety suffered the injury on the final play of the first quarter in the Vikings’ 24-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He was carted off the field and his ankle was placed in a cast. Head coach Leslie Frazier said Raymond will not need surgery on the ankle, but his status going forward is uncertain.
