Minnesota Maroon Day 05 Sep 12

Today (WED) is “Maroon Day” in Minnesota, meaning that all state patrol personnel will be setting aside all of their normal duties in order to conduct road patrols for the day. State troopers plan to target traffic going to and from school and school-related events for Maroon Day this year. The main focus will be visibility and targeting violations. Traffic crashes remain the number one killer of Minnesota’s youth, with the biggest contributing factors being impaired driving, speed, lack of seat belt use, inattentive driving, and aggressive driving.
