Lynx Host Indy, Visit White House 17 Sep 12

The Lynx host the Fever at the Target Center tonight. Minnesota opened the home-and-home series with a 66-64 victory on Friday night. The Lynx improved to 25-and-5 on the year with the win. Tip-off tonight is at 7:00.

The Minnesota Lynx will be honored by President Obama tomorrow (TUES) for winning the 2011 W-N-B-A Championship. The president will also recognize the team’s efforts to support health and wellness and breast cancer awareness. Forward Maya Moore says she’s in awe of our nation’s history when she visits the White House. Moore says “you have people who are defending our freedoms and working to keep this country great and the world at peace.” Moore visited the White House three times as a member of the N-C-A-A Champion Connecticut Huskies. The Lynx have the best record in the league and have already clinched the top seed in the playoffs this season.
