The Minnesota Department of Transportation is asking for the public’s help in the planned expansion of Highway 60 from Mountain Lake to Butterfield. Mn/DOT officials are collecting drainage information on that stretch of highway, and are asking all affected homeowners to bring maps of drainage tile locations to an upcoming open house at the Mountain Lake City Council Chambers. It is being held from 10:30am to 6pm on Wednesday, September 12th. Project engineers hope to preserve the existing drainage along that stretch of Highway 60 while minimizing any future drainage problems. The expansion of the highway to 4 lanes from Mountain Lake to Butterfield is scheduled to begin in 2015.
