Hwy 169 Semi Rollover 20 Sep 12

A Courtland man was injured, and around a hundred gallons of gasoline were spilled in a semi-truck rollover on Highway 169 in Le Sueur County Wednesday morning. It happened at just after 7am near the rest area just north of Le Sueur. 28-year-old Joseph Wenner was driving a 2007 Freightliner semi tanker-truck southbound on 169 and was going to make a left turn into the rest area when he lost control and the truck rolled into the ditch. Wenner was treated for his injuries at the Le Sueur Hospital, and has since been released. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Crews from the pollution control agency were on hand to make sure the clean-up was done correctly. The truck was transporting fuel for River Region Cooperative of Essig, which will pay for the cleanup costs
