The American Red Cross is holding blood drives in Sleepy Eye, New Ulm and St. James this week. The need for blood is constant. September is National Preparedness Month, and donating blood helps the Red Cross prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Bloodmobile will be at the Eagles Orchid Inn of Sleepy Eye from 1 to 7pm today (TUE). Blood drives at the New Ulm Recreation Center Vogel Fieldhouse then take place from 1 to 7 on Wednesday and Thursday and 8am to 1pm on Friday. The First Presbyterian Church in St. James is hosting a blood drive from 1 to 7 on Thursday as well. For more information on Giving The Gift Of Life visit the website www.redcrossblood.org.
