Pavano Makes Rehab Start

(Fort Myers, FL) — The Twins report everything went fine in the first rehab start for injured pitcher Carl Pavano. Manager Ron Gardenhire says Pavano tossed two innings for Class-A Fort Myers and allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout. Pavano has been on the disabled list since June 4th because of right rotator cuff weakness. Gardy says his arm felt great and his velocity was around 85 to 87 miles an hour. Pavano is expected to make a few more rehab starts and continue to build up his pitch count.
