Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is coming to Minnesota later this month. Romney will be in the North Star State on August 23rd to raise money for his campaign. The fundraiser will be held at a private home in an upscale Minneapolis suburb, with a $2,500 a person donation giving access to a general reception, and a $50,000 per-couple contribution required for a more-private dinner. The Romney campaign and the Republican National Committee will each get some of the proceeds. Romney was beaten by Rick Santorum in a nonbinding straw poll during Minnesota’s February GOP caucuses, but Republican Candidate Ron Paul, who is still in the race, won the majority of Minnesota’s delegates during the state convention in May.
