Red Flag Warning Today 30 Aug 12

Most locations in southern Minnesota are under a fire weather watch or a red flag warning through this (THU) evening, as high temps are expected to reach 95 to 100 degrees. Meterologist Chris Franks says that it will be a dry heat with a strong southwesterly wind, and the combination of the two, along with the heat factor will create dangerous fire conditions. The area under a Red Flag Warning today is south of a line along Highway 19 from Redwood Falls to Gaylord to New Prague, and over to Red Wing.
