It’s the final full day of campaigning before Tuesday’s primary election. In southern Minnesota’s First Congressional District, Republicans Mike Parry and Al Quist are both vying to be the one to carry the GOP banner against Democratic incumbent Tim Walz. The 2 have disagreed on several topics, and the campaign has included some negativity. A Primary Election serves to narrow down the field of candidates in some races prior to the General Election on November 6th. This is the first election since Minnesota’s redistricting this year. To help voters find the information they need, such as the status of their voter registration, who will be on their ballot and how to find their polling location, the Secretary of State’s office has created the one-stop election information website www.mnvotes.org.
