Law enforcement agencies around the state are focusing on buses, limousines and other passenger-carrying vehicles during statewide saturation patrols over the course of the next 2 weeks. Saturation activities got underway Monday, and range from traffic enforcement, driver and vehicle inspections, compliance reviews and educational outreach. The nationwide effort will take place along high-volume routes and at destination locations throughout the state. Potential areas of focus will be venues such as Target Field, the Mall of America, the Metrodome and area casinos. In addition, the “National Passenger Carrier Strike Force” effort will be performing evening and late night saturations in downtown areas, as well as major concert and convention venues around the state.
