New Ulm Felony Stalking 24 Aug 12

A New Ulm man faces felony stalking and other charges for allegedly threatening to destroy his neighbor’s porch. 56-year-old Mitchell Hottman is accused of telling his neighbors on South Jefferson Street in New Ulm that he had a sledgehammer, and was going to use it on their porch. Hottman was also allegedly yelling at police and being confrontational when officers arrived, and was found to be in possession of a knife. The sledgehammer was also found. He was charged with stalking, obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct this week in Brown County Court. He remains in custody with bail set at $100,000.
