The Highway 14 detour west of Mankato will be shortened beginning later today (WED). Department of Transportation Project Manager Matthew Rottermond says that Nicollet County Road 77 will no longer be part of the detour as a short segment of Highway 14 on the west end of the project opens to traffic. He says the new Highway 14 detour still includes Nicollet County Road 13, and some of County Road 6. The new modified detour will be in place until the Fall. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible.
