Minnesota Lions member Bob Harms is beginning his 500-mile journey from the top of the state to the bottom–on a lawn mower. The trek will raise funds for hearing-impaired children. It’s called “Steering for Better Hearing.” Marlene Martinek with the Lions Hearing Foundation says Harms will leave from the Canadian Border today (MON) and is scheduled to arrive at the Iowa border on August 29th, and will be greeted at the end of his journey by 2-year-old Maren and her family. Maren is hearing impaired and one of the recipients of assistance from the Lions Children’s Hearing Center. Funds will be raised throughout the journey from pledges and raffles.
