The Libertarian candidate for president has successfully obtained a spot on the Minnesota ballot this Fall. On Tuesday, over 3,200 petition signatures supporting Gary Johnson were submitted to the Minnesota Secretary of State, well over the 2,000 signatures needed for him to appear on the statewide ballot. Johnson served 2 terms as Governor of New Mexico, where he cut taxes several times and left office with a state budget surplus. He is also the founder of one of New Mexico’s largest construction companies, has participated in several Ironman Triathlons, and successfully climbed Mount Everest in 2003. He most recently visited Minnesota for the Libertarian Party of Minnesota’s State Convention this past April.
