Infant Assault Acquittal 31 Aug 12

A St. Peter man accused of physically abusing a 7-week-old infant last year was recently cleared of all the charges against him. 42-year-old Todd Michael Meyer had been charged with assault, malicious punishment of a child, and child endangerment after the baby he was caring for suffered 3 fractured ribs. Meyer had claimed that the baby had fallen on the floor while he was changing a diaper. He was acquitted on all 3 charges following a week-long jury trial in Nicollet County Court.
