The New Ulm Park and Rec Department is offering a way to view tonight’s Blue Moon as it rises over the Minnesota River Valley with a “Full Moon Over Hermann” event. The Hermann Monument in New Ulm will be open from 10am to 10pm today, giving visitors a chance to climb to the top of the monument after dark and take in the full moon. There is a $2 admission charge. A Blue Moon is the term for a second full moon in a single month, and it won’t happen again until the year 2015. Tonight’s Blue Moon will rise at approximately 7:37pm in New Ulm.
