Dog Killed In Burglary 15 Aug 12

The Gaylord Police Department is offering a reward for information on a residential burglary that involved the death of the family’s dog. The burglary of the garage at the Kranz residence on Second Street in Gaylord occurred on July 23rd. Tools were taken from the garage, and the dog was found dead. Investigators believe the death was likely not intentional, but rather due to negligence on the part of the perpetrators. Authorities also say that there is no connection between this burglary and those of Gaylord businesses and a church that occurred the same night. A 19-year-old New Ulm man and 3 juveniles face charges for those incidents. Anyone with information on the garage burglary and the dog’s death should contact Gaylord Police.
