Public informational sessions on “Conservation Drainage” are being held this (MON) evening in St. Peter and on Wednesday in Hanska. The meetings detail ways in which to save ground water, reduce rural runoff to local waterways, improve tile drain water quality, and potentially increase crop yields. No registration is required. They are hosted by Brian Hicks, who has used Conservation Drainage technology on his farm for several years. The sessions begins at 7pm at the Traverse de Sioux History Center in St. Peter today and at the Hanska Community Center on Wednesday.
