A Clara City man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after the airplane he was piloting crash-landed near Hanley Falls. The plane crash was reported at approximately 4:10pm. 47-year-old Bruce Orwick had been crop-dusting when his plane apparently hit a high voltage power line guy-wire and went down in a corn field west of Hanley Falls. Orwick had gotten safely out of the plane when rescue crews arrived and he was transported to the Granite Falls Hospital for treatment. The accident will be investigated by the FAA and the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office.
