Waseca Man Embezzlement 10 Jul 12

A Waseca man is scheduled to be sentenced today (TUE) after pleading guilty to wire fraud and tax evasion related to the embezzlement of about $1.7-million from the company Latex International while serving as it’s CEO. Federal prosecutors say Kevin Coleman “pillaged” the mattress manufacturer to pay for an extravagant lifestyle that included hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry for himself, his wife and his mistress in London. Authorities say Coleman should be sent to prison for substantially more than four years when he is sentenced today in federal court. His attorney argues that Coleman promptly accepted responsibility for what he called self-indulgent and reckless behavior fueled by rampant alcohol and drug abuse.
