The small town of Truman expects thousands of visitors this weekend for the annual Truman Days festivities. Truman Days Board Member Barb Mager says that the parade today (SAT) draws around 5,000 people to the town of around 1,200 residents, and that thousands also come for the nearly 200 citywide garage sales taking place alongside the other festivities. New to this year’s Truman Days are Drum Line performances today after the parade, which begins at 5pm. Concerts will be held prior to the parade as well, beginning at 1pm in Graf Park. Other Truman Days highlights include Legion Baseball finals, softball tournaments, a petting zoo, a Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed, raffle drawings, and much more. Franklin Catfish Derby Days continues all weekend as well, along with the Redwood, Blue Earth, and Scott County Fairs.
