Over 3,600 soldiers who qualify have not claimed a special tax credit for military service in a combat zone. Revenue Department Spokesperson Andrea Weyer says it’s definitely a credit that soldiers well deserve. The deadline to apply is October 15th and the credit is $59 per-month of combat-zone service in 2008. The credit increases to $120 per-month for time served since 2009.
