Sleepy Eye Project Progress 12 Jul 12

The Sleepy Eye City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a total of $1.8-million in infrastructure improvements for the Snow Farm property owned by the city. The project includes industrial, business and residential cul-de-sac development on 260-acres of land on the east end of Sleepy Eye. Phase 1 of project will involve extending Walnut Street to the east, and the financing for that phase will be discussed at the Sleepy Eye City Council meeting in August. Mn/DOT will pay for about $83,000 worth of storm sewer construction and engineering costs for the Snow Farm project.
