An Owatonna man is dead and two other people are injured after an extension cord fell into the water from a northern Minnesota boatlift. The Itasca County sheriff’s office says emergency crews were called Tuesday afternoon to Hill Top Trail in Cohasset on a report that three people had possibly been electrocuted. 22-year-old Robert Stoen was found unresponsive in the water on Pokegama Lake and was pronounced dead at the Grand Itasca Medical Center. 35-year-old Eric Hancock and 57-year-old Cheryl Hancock, also from Owatonna, are listed in serious but stable condition at the hospital. Authorities continue to investigate the apparent accident.
