An 18-year-old New Ulm man was hospitalized early this (THU) morning after his car ran off the road and into the ditch on Highway 68 at Cambria. It happened at just before 2am. William Evans was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus westbound on 68 when the car left the road and went into the ditch. Evans was taken to the New Ulm Medical Center with injuries described as non-life threatening. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and the State Patrol says that alcohol was not a factor. The Courtland Fire Department and Lake Crystal Ambulance assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
