Two people are dead after a head-on collision south of Belview Tuesday night. The accident happened at just after 9:30pm at the intersection of Highway 19 and Redwood County Road 7. A 2003 Volvo 4-door Sedan was travelling eastbound on 19 when it collided head-on with a westbound 2003 Chevy Venture. The Chevy reportedly sustained major fire damage following the crash, and both vehicles were totaled. The driver of the Volvo, 33-year-old Kari Ouoba of Fairmont, and the driver of the Chevy, 76-year-old Alvin Wohnoutka of Milroy were both pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Volvo whose name has not been released was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. The accident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
